How Astragalus Root Relates to HGH Production and Anti Aging

Back in 2009, Jack Szostak, Carol Greider and Elizabeth Blackburn received the Nobel Prize in Physiology of Medicine because of their work with cell division and what they discovered on how chromosomes can be duplicated without degrading.

This discovery insightful because their discovery showed just how important it was to preserve healthy telomeres. Their research revealed that some Astragalus molecules have the potential to improve the growth of telomeres, which ultimately play a direct role in slowing the aging process.

Astragalus

When your cells divide, they repair themselves. This is how your body maintains itself. Deep inside your DNA molecules is where your genetic code is found.  When your DNA molecules duplicate themselves, they create a new cell that’s identical to the old one. Your telomeres protect your chromosomes from damage when they are duplicated, ensuring your cells are able to continue to rejuvenate because the cells are protected. The telomeres rejuvenate but when conditions are not optimal, we start to age.

In 1965, Leonard Hayflick, a geneticist, learned that the cells in our body only divide a certain number of times before they die – also known as our biological clock.

Better Understanding Telomeres

Back in 1990, some excellent material was published by The Nature Journal that helped us to understand the telomere process. Telomeres shorten just a little bit every time a cell divides, which protects one’s DNA strand. When we are younger, the telomerase enzymes are able to easily restore the telomeres. However, the older we get, telomerase enzymes begin to disappear and so slowly the telomeres begin to retreat, and eventually the end result is death.

These days there is a great deal of interest in slowing or stopping the aging process. As a result, there has been a significant amount of anti aging research done. This includes studying telomeres. What has been learned is that there is a direct link between aging and telomeres. There have been a number of therapies created that assist telomerase enzyme producing genes. Astragalus root is one of those therapies.

How Astragalus Slows Aging

Astragalus Root has long been used in natural medicines and it is one of the natural ingredients in the HGH supplement GenF20 Plus.

Astragaloside and cycloastragenols are two powerful molecules in Astragalus Root. These two molecules play a role in telomerase enzymes production and activation. When large amounts of these molecules exist, then it may be possible to stop the depletion of telomeres and to rebuild those that have been lost.

Synthetic Astragalus – TA 65

The first patented synthetic Astragalus was TA-65. However, since the day of TA-65, many Astragalus products have come to market. Some are marketed as offering a reversal of the aging process. It’s also why Astragalus root is recognized a key ingredient in the GenF20 HGH supplement.

The research that we have on Astragalus Root shows its benefits in slowing the aging process, and while more research is definitely needed, the research we have should not be overlooked.

Various Astragalus Species

There are a few different Astragalus species. Astragalus mollissimus and Astragalus lentiginosus are two species commonly seen. Some Astragluspecies contain the toxin swainsonine, which is linked to the poisoning of livestock.  In dietary supplements, the most common species used is Astragalus membranaceus.

What Else Astragalus Root Has to Offer

Astragalus Root is used in GenF20 HGH supplement to help slow the aging process, but what many do not realize is that it is also used to treat a number of conditions. Let’s look at some of these other benefits.

Astragalus stimulates the immune system. Research has shown that those products that use Astragalus can improve the effectiveness of platinum-based chemotherapy treatments used in treating lung cancer.

Astragalus Root is also used in the treatment of:

  • Treating kidney disease
  • Allergies
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Anemia
  • Colds
  • Fibromyalgia
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Fights viruses and bacteria
  • Increase blood flow by applying to the skin
  • Protects the liver
  • Orally to treat cervical cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer
  • Regulates the immune system
  • Treating diabetes
  • Speed up the healing of wounds
  • Treating high blood pressure
  • Upper Respiratory Infections
  • Chronic hepatitis (Astragalus IV)

Commonly you will find Astragalus used in combination with other herbs.

Astragalus Side Effects

The side effects of Astragalus are not known, as there has not been proper testing. Therefore, those that are pregnant or nursing should not take Astragalus.

If you take 28 grams or more of Astragalus, it can lead to a reduction in the effectiveness of the immune system. Therefore, those that suffer from conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune conditions should avoid using Astragalus because it could make symptoms worse.

The Importance of Astragalus Root

What is clear so far, is that the research to date has shown that Astragalus Root may play a key role in slowing or even stopping aging.  Astragalus Root is one of the many natural ingredients in the GenF20 Plus HGH supplement and is considered a key ingredient.
