Your Lifestyle and its Effect on HGH Levels

HGH or human growth hormone, which is produced in the pituitary gland, determines whether you are tall or short, muscular or skinny, sturdy or fragile. While genetics play a role in your body type and your abilities the rest is completely in your hands. When you choose a healthy lifestyle you will look and feel better. You will also be able to improve your HGH levels through your lifestyle choices.

By now we should all know the importance of eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly. Before you decide to exercise if you have any health issues or weight issues you should always consult your physician. In actuality, any changes you are planning relating to your health should be discussed with your doctor, after all he/she is the professional.

Eating Right

We all have our favorite food, even our favorite meal. However, those aren't always healthy choices. Sometimes it can be very difficult to find a healthy version of our favorite food, and sometimes it's best to completely avoid that food. It's a good idea to examine what you are eating and then decide if there are any changes you can make to eat healthier.

Eating right can also improve your HGH production. In fact, here are some eating tips to help your HGH production.

  • Eat the Paleo Diet - Our diet is affecting our growth and our HGH production. The western diet has too many large meals, is too high in carbohydrates, and causes the bloodstream to be flooded with insulin. The trouble is that large amounts of insulin will stop HGH from entering the bloodstream. We want HGH to flood the bloodstream and the way to do this is by increasing protein and decreasing carbs.
  • Eat foods rich in protein - The amino acids that are found in protein foods will raise your HGH production. These are amino acids like L-Lysine, L-Glycine, Arginine, and Glutamine, which are all very important to your body's HGH production. Those that are serious bodybuilders, weight lifters, or athletes do best if they take amino acid supplements. The rest of us, if we want to make sure we are getting these necessary amino acids can take and HGH supplement.
  • Watch what you eat before/after your workout - Near the ends of your workout and right after it is over your body pours HGH into the blood to rebuild and repair the damage, so don't be drinking sweet drinks or eating foods that contain carbs like that power bar for a half hour after your workout. Drink only water. Don't eat an hour before your workout.
  • Never eat before bed - You know those late night cookies and milk - well you better leave them for Santa, because they are not helping your HGH production. Eating before bed increases your blood glucose levels and that decreases your HGH production. If you need to take care of those tummy growls opt for a whey protein shake.

Balancing Rest and Relaxation

It is very important to be active so that your body produces more HGH. This is part of a healthy lifestyle. However it's also important that you don't over exercise because doing so will tax your body and lead to a reduction in the HGH produced.

Exercising three times per week is recommended - anaerobic exercise is best - this type of workout combines intense periods in your workout with brief periods of rest. This will help your body to increase its production of HGH.

Make sure you get enough sleep - 8 to 10 hours every night and this should be uninterrupted. This will help your body to produce more HGH.

HGH Supplements

In addition to your lifestyle choices you might consider taking an HGH releaser made up of natural ingredients that work together to help your body increase its HGH production. All of us suffer from decreased HGH production by our mid 20s, and helping our bodies increase production means we'll age slower, a goal most of us have.
