What You Should Know About Nutropin

Nutropin in an HGH injection prescribed by doctors to treat a number of conditions including what is known as Adult Onset GH Deficiency. There are two different types of Adult Onset GH Deficiency and different methods are used to diagnose each form.

One type of HGH deficiency is directly caused by the pituitary gland malfunctioning. This is, the less frequently seen cause of low HGH levels, and the cause is generally another health condition, which interferes with the body’s ability to produce and distribute HGH. Nutropin Hormone Replacement Therapy is used to restore the HGH levels in the body to normal levels by directly replacing the human growth hormone that your pituitary is unable to produce and release.

The second type of HGH deficiency occurs with the hypothalamus not properly functioning. While occasionally this is the result of medical complications generally, it is age related. HGH decline is directly related to changes in the function of the hypothalamus over the age of thirty. This is the most common form for HGH deficiency.

By the time you are entering our 30s, your hypothalamus is releasing less and less HGH. It is also the reason why by endocrine scientists still do not fully understood the decline in the release of GH-RH but they do know it is the direct cause of Adult GH Deficiency.

How Does the Doctor Diagnose Adult Human Growth Hormone Deficiency?

HGH deficiency is directly caused by the malfunction of the pituitary, which can be diagnosed using GH Stimulation. With this test, your doctor uses GH-RH or another chemical like Arginine to directly stimulate your pituitary gland to release HGH.

HGH deficiency can be diagnosed by testing your blood stream for the IGF-1 hormone (Insulin-like Growth Factor One). HGH will quickly disperse from your blood stream, which makes it hard to track, but IGF-1 stays in the blood stream for a longer period of time, making it a more useful barometer for your innate HGH Production.

What Issues With The Pituitary Gland Can Result in Adult HGH Deficiency?

In adults, with low HGH levels it can be directly linked to a damaged pituitary gland or a disease/condition that hinders the function of the pituitary gland. In addition, pituitary tumors can cause an HGH deficiency. However, the most common reason or adult HGH deficiency is a pituitary adenoma. It can also occur when there is direct damage to the brain caused by trauma, internal bleeding, radiation, or surgery.
