Stanford University examined 26 studies of adults that used pedometers. What they discovered is that those people who used pedometers had a significant increase in their physical activity taking over 2000 steps more per day than those who did not use a pedometer.
After just a couple weeks of walking you will begin to see health benefits and some of these are measurable. Walking just 30 minutes each day can be adequate for those with hypertension to see an improvement in their blood pressure, and those with diabetes can see improvements in their blood sugar levels.
#2 Ride Your Bike
In some parts of the world like the Netherlands bikes outnumber people, yet in the western world less than 2 percent of trips to work are taken by bicycle. Did you know that just casual riding can burn more than 500 calories an hour and if you exert yourself such as going up hill you can burn as many as 1000 calories an hour. That’s a pretty good way to help you lose weight.
#3 Eat at Home More Frequently
According to recent poles more than 5 percent of family budgets go to eating out and of all the eating out 30 percent is to fast food. People who eat out frequently tend to be overweight, so if you want to start to lose weight stop eating out so much and especially when it comes to fast food restaurants. You need to pay attention to what you order when you do eat out. Make it a habit to eat all your meals at home at least six days of the week.
#4 Eat Spicy Foods

The main reason that spicy food helps you lose weight is that is that you eat slower and that helps with weight loss. How you ask?
